Andrae's Bakery and Cheese Shop is located in the smallest incorporated city in California,   Amador City.  An untouched, small town along Historic Highway 49 that will take you back to the gold rush era. 

Our specialty is handcrafted, hearth baked bread made the traditional way without mixes or preservatives.  Along with our bread, we feature freshly baked pastries, tarts, cookies, and the popular Basque cake.  If you are hungry for lunch, we make sandwiches, quiches, and pizzas. 

All our products are made from scratch and baked fresh daily.  We only use natural products that have no additives; when available, we use locally made or grown products.  Our flour is organic and/or residue free (no pesticides), and we use free farmed, rBST free dairy.  All our baked goods are made on site.

Andrae's Cheese Shop has a vast selection of imported and domestic artisan cheeses.  Every week, new arrivals appear; some only available seasonally.  To compliment our cheese selection, we carry European butters, olives, and salumi.    For those who love to cook, we have a gourmet product selection where you can pick up locally made olive oil, jam, and honey (seasonally).  Yet, we do not stop there.  Select kitchenware is on hand including cheese graters, tea kettles, and Japanese dishware.  Cookbooks include new releases and old favorites.  Andrae's serves locally roasted coffee, whole leaf teas, and nostalgic sodas.
